A bright new day for fall baking
This cookie first came to life during a Test Bake Thursday, our favorite weekly ritual where new ideas — and a few happy accidents — turn into future favorites. We were playing with the cozy trio of orange, cranberry, and candied ginger, and the first bite stopped us in our tracks. Soft, fragrant, and just the right balance of citrus brightness and warm spice, it somehow tasted like a muffin but with that signature Top Shelf chew.
Our Cranberry Sunrise starts with buttery dough infused with real orange zest and juice. Then we fold in chewy dried cranberries and bits of candied ginger for a little sparkle and spice. It’s a cookie that feels right at home in November — when the air cools in New England, sweaters come out, and we start leaning toward Thanksgiving flavors.
